These hardened ARP washers are parallel-ground from premium chromemoly with a black oxide finish. 

Used under the cylinder head retaining nuts to provide a smooth parallel surface.  These will help achieve accurate torque readings.  They will help prevent under and over-torque readings. 

From the factory the Ural does not use a washer under the nuts that retain the cylinder head.  The rough finished factory nuts will gouge into the soft steel rocker mounts creating excessive friction between the nut and the mounting surface.  It can lead to inaccurate head bolt/stud torque readings which will affect head gasket sealing and valve lash settings. 

This is an easy upgrade.  Requires only removal of the nuts and installation of this washer using 30 wt. oil on the stud threads and washer surfaces.  Retorque using reduced torque specifications of 30 - 35 ft/lbs.
